  • To improve and run the digital trading side of the phs direct business. Creating from scratch an e-commerce portal for new and existing customers to trade on. Also developing and training staff in a new digital way of working.

  • I have developed my skills in stakeholder management a lot more, especially getting exposure to directors and board. My presentation skills have also improved as well as knowledge in the financial side of the business.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I very much enjoyed the apprenticeship I did in leadership and management. Improving my skills in leadership and the difference between managing and leading. One of the highlights was working on time management, which I found particularly helpful.

  • Very well structured and thought out.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received all the support I needed from my line manager and the wider business. Especially when it came to doing my course work and training days.

  • I received a lot of support from Corndel. Our trainers were brilliant and always there to help, even outside of our sessions.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Although I was already experienced as a manger, I learnt a lot from the course. I feel I can lead a lot better and I have become a better manger after doing the course.

  • There are some, but there could be a lot more to get people involved with.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PHS Group?
  • Be open to work cross functionally. I found that working well not only in my team but across the business really helped me.
