  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role as a customer service advisor is to make sure customers get the best experience by processing the contracts they sign in a timely manor. My job is to make sure all information is correct before processing so that nothing is delayed for the customer. Working in date order helps us as a team keep our work load in a better position.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Since working with PHS I have learnt multiple new skills such as how our two systems work, learning new things on excel and many other systems we work with day-to-day. I have also had the opportunity to develop in existing skills I already had such as communication skills and working as a team, this has been beneficial going on to the team I am with as as working together gets everything processed for customers.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy this programme a lot, the company itself is very good and supportive and my colleagues are always on hand to help with anything. I believe as a first full time job it is very helpful especially starting as an apprentice as this gives lots of opportunities for the future.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I personally think PHS is very organised/ structured throughout all teams. Each team works different but for my team we all share our opinions to make it better for us, we organise our workload in date order shared out between everyone to make sure the customer is getting the best experience and isn't delayed in installs.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support in PHS for employers is brilliant, personally with my team we all help each other as we all have different skills and have strengths in certain parts of the business. No matter the workload everyone is always on hand to help others, and personally as a new starter coming onto the team everyone was very supportive.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider for my qualifications was amazing for supporting me with my work. She was extremely helpful with everything and anything I struggled on or was unsure about she was always there to give me a hand to get it done. I found anything I needed support with was explained in a very good way to where I understood everything

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel when doing my training for my qualification my provider helped a lot and I learnt a lot which helped me perform better in my role in PHS. I feel even by explaining what I have to do day to day it was helping me realise and pick up on certain things maybe I wasn't to sure about or that was incorrect to get further help on.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • In my workplace there are extra-curricular activities such as there is always opportunity to better yourself in anything you want. Social activities in the workplace include team bonding by planning activities outside of work such as maybe bowling and a meal or an event for all to attend together to socialise outside of working hours.

  • 9a. Would you recommend PHS Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend PHS to a friend as it is a really good company starting off and you learn lots of skills. Personally I think starting off in PHS as an apprentice was very helpful and I would recommend to other as a first time job to do an apprentice as this helps a lot for the future. PHS has a lot of support and a lot of friendly employees.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PHS Group?
  • Tips and advice I would give to anyone applying to PHS would be to start off as an apprentice if this is your first full time job. Also to know the support and training is very good here, and take all opportunities given as there is always the option to move around the business if you think it will suit you better.
