I am a hotel team leader. I lead the team in housekeeping and on the reception of the hotel. I work mostly in reception and focus mainly on customer service. I deal with customer complaints and corporate accounts, as well as the usual check ins and outs, answering telephone calls and emails.
Yes, I have developed my skills in customer service and have developed team leading skills as well as time management skills
I have enjoyed the assignments and also meetings with my tutors. I love challenges, so I have enjoyed doing this apprenticeship very much because of that.
The programme was easy to follow, a lot of it was online and so everything was planned out. The coursework and deadlines were set by the tutors and were achievable.
I get a lot of support from my employer. I was given three hours a week to use during work hours to complete the online training and assignments.
My trainer was always available if I needed to ask questions or needed things explained.
I feel that my skills have improved to the extent that my work colleagues have noticed an improvement in my work, attitude and customer service.
From time to time there are activities that we can get involved in.
Yes
I think this company really does care about its employees. I get a lot of support from my managers and I am able to learn new skills if wanted.
Be willing to work hard and progress within the company. The opportunities are there!
