Everyday my first job will be to prepare the vegatables for the next day to make it eaiser on the chef the next morning. Throughout the day i will need to be washing up any and all dishes/cups that come back to the kitchen so that it doesnt all build up. I also have the responsibility to keep the kitchen clean and tidy so that the chef doesnt have to go looking for everything that he needs to use. i will need to clean the fridges, worktops and mob the floor. The final thing i need to do each day is prepare the snack trolleys, these will consist of milkshakes and biscuits for the resident to have while they wait for their next big meal
One thing i have learned is how to properly and effieciently mob and brush the floor. i have also learned the meaning of fortified foods and how to fortify different types of food. Another thing i have learned is how important it is to keep everything clean at all times.
I enjoy the programme because it is teaching me new things like cleaning, organisation. I am enjoying the different types of new recipies i am getting the opertunity to prepare. Another thing im enjoying is being apart of a team that i can talk to if im struggling with anything
My programme is fairly well orgainised i have a meeting with an advisor every few weeks and he will check my progress and give me different tasks to do before the next session. He will also tell me any improvements i need to make to improve my self and how i work.
I receive some support from my employer when im struggling to do a new task or activity. I also recieve support whenever i ask for help with anything. However smetimes i get stuck doing the same stuff over periods of time because im not being told to do anything new.
I receive a lot of support when working towards my qualification, i am allowed to go on their computer once a week for the full day to do any work i have been set. They also help whenever i ask a question related to my qualification, even if they dont know they answer right away they will find out and let me know as soon as they can.
I will get set tasks that will hlp improve my work. these thse tasks can be list different ways meat can be prepared or list the different types of allergens in different food types. They can also be cleaning based like wat cleaning products are used to clean certain things
Yes every week a new visitor will come into the home and see the residents. These vistors can be people from an exotic zoo where they will how off spiders and snakes to the residents. It can also be cover singers who will sing some song that the residents request and the residents and carers can dance and have fun.
Yes
Because you are offered support throughout the course and when you do struggle they do their best to help you thorugh it. I would also recommend it because of how many different roles they have varying from care staff to I.T technichians. This is important because they can apply for a job they want to do
I would tell people to look for the role that they would like as there are a bunch to chose from each with their own sub roles. I would also tell them to look at different locations as their are a lot of them and it could reduce travel for them
