  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Hotel Deputy Manager (assistant manager), managing team, rota planer, business administration, forecasting, audits, health and safety, food safety, managing kitchen, food, liquor and chemical orders, meetings and events coordination, wedding coordinator, daily reservation, managing restaurant. As one of biggest projects of mine was to bringing back kitchen standards (training staff, re-painting kitchen, re-stock, re-organisation and continuously receiving 5stars audits; another one was reducing paper usage in our business what saved money across the hole division.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • At the beginning it as difficult. I have started my program with previous group charnwood (?). Then I go through quite few "teachers". I end up with Evi Kathrepti and she was amazing. She was patient and helped me with everything I needed. She was very motivating. I did enjoyed every part of my training.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Greene King?
  • I use to feel valued. Not any more. In last couple of months we gone through 3 BDMs. Everything changed. My line manager is actually my mother so I can judge that in professional matter. However I feel after loyalty that I shown in last 5 years of working for Greene King i do not feel valued (same salary since I started) even after all extra experience and many qualifications. Since Greene King connected to Spirits I feel like company profit and tight budget is way more important than people working in it. Staff changing all the time in all departments. Don't feel unique anymore, feel that Greene King could replace me anytime without noticing it. All I can add from positives the only senior management recognition person noticed was Jack Steer.
