my job as a apprenticeship care assistant is to care for resedents to high standards ensuring all of there needs are met, to assist them if needed washing,help to get dressesd, help to the toilet getiing there breakfast and lunches and in genral to make sure they are all ok and make them happy.
i have learned loads of new skills here my people skills have defentally improved, i been on loads of tranning in health and saftey, end of life, dementia friends, becoming a dementia champion,completeting all my elearning and gaining a level 1 in english and maths and at the end of my apprnitship i will gain my nvq level 2 in health and social care which im really looking forward to.
i love this programme there is so much potential to progress and achieve everything on the apprentiship and the support you get is amazing.
i feel very valued to work for anchor everyone makes you feel so welcome and everyone works together as part of a team to ensure everything is done correctly and they dont rush your learning because they understand everyone works at different levels and it takes different time for people to complete things.
very organised not got a problem with anything if i do have any concerns i can contact my apprentiship advisor.
loads of support, if i dont understand anythink they are always there 100% to support you.
loads of support avalible not just form my employer but also other care assistants there always willing to help.
salary could be a bit better
defentally there always willing to support our not-for-profit care home.

its brilliant the way everything is run, its a pleasant environment to work in and everyone makes you feel so welcome they do so much for the residents to ensure 100% full care is provided.
