  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am involved in the daily operations within my team performing the audit for the entity's we have been assigned. As well as this, I take part in my studies with FI for my ACA professional qualification.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Absolutely, from excel to presenting skills. Being in the office surrounded by sound professionals enables me to pick up new things and skills very quickly and additionally improving my current existing skills like public speaking and competency with Microsoft Office.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Before I joined, I was at university and I made the change to join the apprenticeship instead. By far it was the best decision I made, Getting involved at such a young age in the corporate world and being able to learn things that directly contributes to my career. Meeting the people who also work here has been an absolute joy and making those connections and relationships has been great!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I haven't had the need at all to always ask about my future in the apprenticeship programme. EY has covered it on all basis and with the scheduling tools implemented here it is well structured.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • From my employer we get a huge range of benefits as well our salary so financially, I am supported very well here. In addition, while being new to working here, everyone has been kind in answering my questions and haven't had anything bad to say about anyone.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We get in person teaching and as well as that the teachers are very approachable, and you can ask anything to them. They even provide us with their emails and phone numbers for us to reach out to them to ask any questions we may require help on. They have been great and can't fault it.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The work and the thing's I learn in the lessons directly apply to my day to day work so I am always coming across things which I have seen and learnt in class. Knowing what I am coming across as well as being able to use those lesson has led me to perform better in my role here.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Absolutely, EY have a wide range of clubs and activities ranging from most sports to religious groups within the firms. We are always being sent invites to these events and attending them is a lot of fun.

  • 9a. Would you recommend EY to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The culture he is exactly what you would want and expect from a firm this big. Being able to get experience and a job without attending university is something that many don't think is possible but EY says otherwise and I am so appreciative of that.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • Get ready for a lot of excel, but all in all. Go in with an open mind and make sure to reach out for all the opportunities the firm make available to you. Be ready to make some sacrifices as well but the upsides are worth all of it.
