  • I managed our partnerships with third party insurance companies. This includes responsibility for trading performance, development, and resolution of issues. I also work with other areas of the business, such as marketing on developing strategies, and Finance on supporting financial plans. I have one direct report who supports me.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes - I have learnt how to better manage my personal development. I now take time each week to reflect on my strengths and areas for improvement. I dedicate more time to self-directed learning and I am also transferring my learnings on the first two business focused modules into the workplace.

  • I enjoy learning and being challenged and I am eager to gain a deeper understanding of how businesses function, how to improve personally, and lead others. The programme is perfect for me and I am really enjoying it.

  • It is structured well.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support. Subject matter experts are supporting me with learning and I am being given a lot of opportunities to transfer my learnings into the workplace, such as leading on projects.

  • The coach has been great and provides feedback, support and direction. The tutors have been approachable and quick to respond on feedback when I have needed it.

  • The learning is key to my development. First, it is giving me a broader understanding of different business functions, such as marketing. I am now able to contribute to these conversations more effectively and support in decision-making. Second, it has given me a lot of motivation for self-directed learning.

  • Yes - Co-op offers a broad range of activities, from social networks to supporting local communities and causes.
