  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves running a hotel site in a newly developed hotel brand. I deal with the paperwork, recruitment, stocks and training for the site. I am also the face of the site and have to deal with all legislations etc. I also have to deal with responsibilities in the area and brand.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many skills while doing ny NVQ. I have also managed to fine tune the skills I already had. This is turn is making me a more effective and well rounded manager and mentor. I believe this has helped me grow as a better manager and a person.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy doing my programme and feel very lucky to be doing it and I would highly recommend this to any one else who would look to doing it. Aptem is also a great tool and the trainers that I engage with are amazing. They are so helpful and really do care.

  • I feel the programme is very well organised and structured. I love that you can see the progress happening on your Aptem account and the trainers are amazing and very engaging and help you every step of the way. The Aptem program gives a great way to stay in communication.

  • I receive loads of support, tools and time from my employer to complete my apprenticeship.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I am very lucky that I have a great trainer who deals with me remotely due to my floating position but I also have access to amazing other trainers who I engage with regularly. who has also supported me through this course so far. We also have who does monthly training with my group.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I agree that the qualifications have helped me preform my role better.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have a number of professional networking events as brands but we also have the inclusive and engagement groups such as Greene King Village and ability.

  • Yes
