  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • What my role in a day to day basis is making sure the customers are happy and satisfied every time they come in and shop with us. Also making sure the shop looks we’ll presentable by facing up the shelves when they look untidy because it doesn’t make the store look nice.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt new skills whilst working and what the skills are people communication so what I mean is learning to talk to people better and clearer so they understand me. A skill that I had already had by developed it more was making sure everything is done and not half done.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The extent I enjoy my programme is very good because it teaches me new skills that I didn’t really know because working so for example learning how to communicate with other people better is a skill I’ve learn so that’s why this programme is very good for people.

  • The programme is well organised and structured because I know when my next meeting is and what’s needs to be done in that time but also it gives me a indication on what I need to improve on over the time to get the marks I need to get.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The amount of support I received from my employer is very good because they tell me what I need to do and if I am stuck with something of something doesn’t make sense to me I can go up to them and ask them to explain it again for me.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The amount of support I receive from my trainer when working towards my qualifications is good because they give me my work to complete for next time but instead of leaving me to it they explain it to me so then when it comes to do the work I’m not confused.

  • The way I think my qualification through my training provider helps me to perform better in my role because it tells me what I need to do each day or week to be able to reach my qualification and to pass the course so it helps quite a lot for me.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Their isn’t any extra curricular activities for me to get involved at work but it’s a shame because we could do something with social media or even professional networking events so then it gets everyone working together more often but also it could bring the team together more.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend savers to a friend because it is very cheap in their so you don’t have to go to expensive stores like boots or Superdrug but I also would recommend working it their to help with your people skills because their are a lot of people that goes into the store nearly every day so you will get to know them.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savers?
  • The tips or advice I would give to others applying to savers is make sure you don’t plan anything a week ahead because you don’t know when you will be working the next week and it saves you hassle to try and get the day of so just be careful.
