  • this involves checking the quality of training delivery and content. checking satisfaction ratings of apprentices. checking marking processes are validated and equitable across all programmes. supporting trainers and assessors to develop and deliver quality training materials. collation and provision of statistical data to director team. management of individuals and support in completing development activities

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • i have continued to develop my training skills in order to remain up to date and be able to support my colleagues. i have more recently developed my mentoring skills and my current programme of learning has expanded my ability to think critically in solving problems. i have continued to develop my skills in the delivery of construction programmes and more recently in digital technology

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have had two different tutors while on programme. Both have been excellent in their support of me in my role. more recently my tutor has developed group sessions which have been very helpful to me in enabling me to understand key management concepts and develop these in a safe environment

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • my programme is very well structured with plenty of notice for planned sessions. the tutor clearly knows his subject matter and has put a lot of thought into how he delivers each session. i feel able to contribute ideas that generate effective discussions and also feel that the speed of the sessions are paced at the right level for me

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i am allowed time in my working week to attend the training sessions with my tutor. i also have time made available to compete tasks set in each of the delivery sessions and complete assignments. the rest of the work required i complete in my own time. I have been tasked with areas in a project team to lead in order to develop my skills in certain areas relevant to the course

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • As previously mentioned i have been given time in my weekly schedule in order to develop written assignments required for each module of the course. I have been given the opportunity to collect the required evidence in order for me to demonstrate my skills, knowledge and behaviours required for the apprenticeship

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • the qualification gained is a good fit for the job that i do. it will allow me to progress further in my career. the key is that i put the theory into practice daily, from the mentoring skills gained to different ways to negotiate or handle conflict positively. i have a much wider understanding of the context of my job role

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • we have regular team building events with our first one since covid taking place in April this year. we take part in fund raising activities and engage in local community schemes in local schools, environmental improvements. i also have been tasked with a development project to improve safeguarding processes for learers

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • i think that the support provided is very high. quality of my tutor is very good and i feel that he cares about my progress. i receive plenty of information in order to plan my progress and i appreciate the fact that my contributions and those of my peers are valued


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Learning Skills Partnership?
  • I would advise to take an active part in lessons. it helps me to absorb the material
