  • My daily tasks vary from day to day, I could be working with clients, on reports, general queries and placing policies. Daily, I work with external clients/underwriters and internal colleagues so exposure to the insurance market is extremely vast. There are many projects to get involved in not just relating to work but also the colleague resource groups.

  • Through the qualifications that I have gained, specifically the CertCII qualification, have extremely helped my knowledge of the insurance market. There are many internal training to help with programmes and processes that you work with daily. As part of the CII membership, there are free external training which helps understand the market from other perspective than an insurance broker. Not relating to training, my role has grew my confidence in speaking to new people and in different forms. This is because we work over email, call, zoom and in person meetings.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • What I enjoy about the programme is my team, they are extremely helpful and patient when teaching me about new programmes and processes. They make you feel comfortable and do not pressure you to do something out of your comfort zone. The workload can vary depending on your clients renewal, however speaking up can help take of the workload by sharing out tasks.
