  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As a Client Coordinator, I work closely alongside the Client Advisor and assist them with their day to day admin activities such as requesting claims experiences, creating renewal questionnaires and setting up client meetings. With experience, I have been given the opportunity to speak to clients and attend client meetings and lunches.

  • I have gained confidence whilst being on the apprenticeship scheme at Marsh McLennan and I now feel more comfortable speaking to new people and building relationships with colleagues and clients. • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am thoroughly enjoying my apprenticeship at Marsh McLennan. Considering I started a new job role during lockdown, I have been lucky enough to be welcomed into the team from day one. My manager always encourages me to push myself and strive for the best whilst understanding that I need to balance my study and work hours.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I would say my programme has been well structered with the right balance towards study and practical work. I originally had weekly 1-1s with my manager however we have reduced these to bi-weekly now that I have more experience and confidence. I have monthly meetings with my DLS mentor to ensure that I am on track with the apprenticeship scheme.

  • I have received a good amount of support from Davies Learning Solutions. I was assigned a mentor from DLS who I attend monthly 1-1 meetings with. The mentor is only ever an email away if needed.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • My apprenticeship at Marsh McLennan has been extermely positive and I have learnt and achieved so much in such a short amount of time. This is not only down to my work ethic but the support I have received from my manager and colleagues who all encourage me to do my best daily.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Marsh McLennan?
  • I would encourage anyone thinking of applying to research into the company to gain an insight into the work they do. When going through the application process and particularly the assessment days it is important to be yourself and not be afraid to speak up in the group activities. The onboarding process was smooth and the communication from the company throughout each stage was well delivered.
