  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job overview is going out with drivers learning the ropes of being a lorry driver . Then helping out in the warehouse when needed as we don’t have our licence to drive yet witch obviously takes time with the shortage and everyone wanting to do there hgv now and also all the paper work side cpc ect.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learnt a lot about weights Taco cards and machines driving and a lot on health and safety I also have worked towards a level 2 in maths and soon will find out if successful and later on will do the same in English I learnt alot about what the Co op is about and enjoy what I do

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy mostly going out with drivers helping unload cages and getting familiar with day to day work of what I’ll do getting into tight spaces and being a lot more wary of my surroundings getting to meet new people I enjoy talking to a variety of people on a day to day basis as I’m a talker

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I’d say it’s well organised but things could be better as can everything but overal every thing is going great and I’m getting where I need to be one step closer everyday there’s good days and bad days but when isn’t there they are running everything as right as possible

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot without doubt if I’m struggling all I have to say is I’m struggling I need help and they will break there back for us there’s a lot of help programs to help people with mental health health issues anything you need they couldn’t do enough for you

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I believe they try there hardest yet have room for improvement but who doesn’t they was unreal with my maths I couldn’t thank them enough 1to1s they would stay after time to help if needed they spoke to you like a adult instead of a child witch is rare these days from passed teachers

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The amount of corse work and assignments that we receive covers everything even things we don’t really need to know but is a good because my knowledge is good on every base I’d say I’d be responsible and eager when I pass my test everything I’ve done will contribute

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yea we have a gym that is 24 pound a year also there’s a chance of applying for festivals to work in the shops and get free acces at night to the festival such as Glastonbury Leeds why not and expenses paid also on top of your wage it’s amazing

  • 9a. Would you recommend Co-op to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Very helpful with any advice needed they will help no questions a stupid question and the pay is amazing for what you do everybody is friendly and will help or give advice they have a cafe that’s cheap as chips never looked down on and can be yourself witch is rare in a work place


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Co-op?
  • Always cover your back make sure you stick to the rules as should anyway work to your target and you’ll have no issues and just enjoy yourself be nice to them they will be nice to you favours work both ways if you work overtime and need to shoot off one day early they will remember and help you out
