  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

    • My role is a Business Administrator in the Co-op People and Services Tower. I work closely with the Chief People Officer and leadership team to ensure they're supported by helping with social media, comms and other admin tasks.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

    • I have learnt a lot more around business structure and got a wider understanding of Co-op.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

    • I really enjoy my programme. There is a lot of reading so sometimes it can take a while for me to process and remember all of the information. It would be good to see some more quizzes, videos etc.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

    • The programme is good however there are a few mixed messages from my coach and tutor around who to speak to/ where to get certain information.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

    • My employer is really supportive and I am able to take my apprenticeship hours whenever suit me.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

    • I have calls most weeks with my tutor and classmates to discuss topics we have been learning. I also have a call once a month with my coach to check in and see how I am progressing.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

    • My learning has really helps in my role, I am more confident when speaking about HR generally aswell as how our organisation works.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

    • There are quite a lot of networking events, currently online aswell as colleague networks e.g. a women's network, disability network etc.

    • Yes

    • Co-op is really supportive and are encouraging colleagues to progress.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Co-op?

    • Make sure your values align before applying at Co-op. And be prepared for lots of change.
