  • Spending time in each department across the Logistics Network, learning the job role of the manager in the departments. This involves shadowing current managers, running areas within the department, and learning how to use the systems in those areas.

  • My self-confidence has improved, as well as my organisational skills. My leadership skills are developing as I progress through the programme.

  • Very much so. I have freedom to schedule my own time, which allows room for building relationships with people I never would have interacted with otherwise.

  • Fairly well. Sometimes it seems as if the company and the training provider have different ideas of what I should be doing during the programme.

  • As much support as I need.

  • As much as I need.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The training provides some insights into the skills needed to be a good manager, including management techniques I wouldn't have normally come across. Most of it is common sense though.

  • There are many activities to get involved in, including sweep-stakes, lotteries, raffles, sporting events and family fun days.

  • Yes

  • The company invests in ethical business practices. They try their best to be inclusive and offer many benefits to colleagues, such as health & wellbeing apps and financial support channels.

  • The Co-op offer all sorts of opportunities for colleagues wanting to progress their career. Don't be afraid to apply for a position, no matter how long you have worked here.
