  • My role involves organising the staff into their job roles in order of priority, stocking shelves, managerial roles, giving good customer service and giving back to the community.

  • I do enjoy my programme because I meet new faces and explore new ways to action matters that I didn’t know how to before

  • It is very structured, there are group conferences every 6-8 weeks, I have an apprenticeship visit from my tutor roughly every six weeks and we are able to have time off if struggling.

  • I receive support from my employer when needed

  • My training provider is always there to help whether I phone, text, email, or live video them.

  • I feel like it allows me to be more confident in what I am doing as I am the youngest team leader in my store so it helps with my experience and allows me to take different approaches to things that others may not be able to.

  • We sometimes have charity events that we host where we take part in bake sales, the colleagues go out for Christmas parties or if it is someone’s birthday.

  • The benefits you receive from being a co-op employer are really helpful and they have links such as life works if you’re struggling in day to day life

  • It depends on the store but the staff normally have a well-rounded positive energy and it can be a fun place to work
