  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've developed lots of new skills, particularly my excel skills now as since I joined the apprenticeship straight from school I had rarely used excel, now I use it daily. I've also developed skills like communication, by talking to clients and also developing my ability to write professional emails.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme to the extent that i am learning new things and have the opportunity to meet new clients and see how other companies function. But starting an apprenticeship straight from school makes it difficult to know exactly what job you're signing up to, but so far i am enjoying it.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very structured, we have scheduled training to help us study and prepare for our exams. The study weeks are spread out to allow us time to self study before further developing our skills. And everyone is always willing to help if i have any questions.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Training providers are very supportive, they provide all the learning material, textbooks and question banks to help us study. The lessons are very helpful and informative and they're great at answering questions. Tutors give you their email addresses to help when studying at home if you have any questions and they are usually quick to respond.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification does help me perform better in my role because a lot of the content i learn for exams is directly applicable to my day to day work. And is useful when i have an issue i can refer back to my learning to confirm what the correct accounting treatment is.

  • 9a. Would you recommend EY to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend EY to a friend as it is a well known firm, part of the big four, and has taught me lots of new things. The people are great and are always willing to aid your learning so you can develop new skills and start a great career.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • Reserch EY and what they stand for as this will help you in the job application phase, and help you understand if its a place you would want to be part of, and also research the different departments/sectors which you could be part of so you apply to a good fit for you.
