  • Providing pensions manager-type support to a number of Trustee-based clients, supporting senior consultants and other ad-hoc work with senior individuals within Mercer.

  • - team working - confidence speaking with clients - presentation skills - microsoft office skills (especially excel)

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Really really enjoy my job, can be very demanding at times with very long work hours, but I don't mind working long hours or on the weekend as I enjoy the work I'm doing and feel recognised at work.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The 'Mercer Academy' was first set up in 2019, and I was part of the initial group. The initial group was very much a 'test group' and it did feel that way. There were certain parts of the job that weren't clearly communicated to us at the beginning, for example bonus eligibility and progression paths.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from colleagues, especially more senior colleages who see potential in me and want me to do well. All colleagues are very receptive to a phone call whenever necessary.

  • Good support if sought out, but I do need to seek advice when needed.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Studying for my PMI exams helps a lot as the matierals are very relevant to my day-to-day responsibilities.

  • Profressional networking events, social activities with colleagues, voluntary initiatives are offered but I do not usually take them up.

  • Be yourself, stay calm during the interview and prepare beforehand so you have relevant knowledge of the Company you are interviewing for.
