  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am currently working for Booking.com Taxi as a customer advisor, I answered calls both from suppliers and customers, replied to their emails on my daily bases. And also to deal with the complaints. English is not my mother language, sometimes I found it difficult to comfort the customer when they are frustrated. Throughout the apprenticeship, it really helps me to improve my communication skills, and how to approach to the customer in an appropriate way. It helps me to improve my KPI (targets) at work - customers often gave me a good review after I resolve their problems. And since I am more confident, I work more efficiently - solved more tickets. And also, during the apprenticeship, we will have a Level 2 English and Maths test as well, as I didn’t study in the UK, this is another chance to recall all the knowledge and get a certificate to prove myself. I am grateful that I got the chance to participate this wonderful program! Keep learning and add value to yourself!

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learning a lot throughout the apprenticeship, the workshops are bonus as it’s not part of the apprenticeship, but the provider still arranged them to us, I have to say, I enjoyed it so much and I learnt a lot from it. Listening to the tutors and share options with the other apprentices, brain storms really help me to see wider and think bigger! There’re different topics arranged each month, different skills to learn, and it definitely helped me to improve myself and deliver a better service for my daily base jobs.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I like the programme a lot, it has different topics each month. Work shadows records makes me always go to my manger to assign me some shadowing time to watch how my colleagues works and I will then reflect myself to see what do I need to improve. It also makes me get into the habit of doing researches by using different channels to find out more resources.
