  • I have been working in different teams and working on different briefs, also we had to meet deadlines independently which shows a great deal of independence

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Through the work experience I have learnt transferable skills such as working on excel spread sheets and also worked on collecting my data and findings in one power point.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It has been very enjoyable and we have been able to make some great friends and great team work. Also this experience has been useful for showing my strengths and weaknesses.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by EY?
  • Yes, I've been able to do work that seems to be real life data and activities. Also ive been able to work with staff who also treat me like fellow employees rather than a student

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program in general has been well organised and due to the first week we were able to build up our friendships and relationships with my colleagues.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I have received a lot of support throughout this program from both staff and from my fellow peers. Also through this program we have mentors that have supported me massively

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We have also had support from the from men and women of this smart futures program, an example of this is Elaine, who has helped me broaden my network even further

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • This salary has been very useful as for me in particular it costs £5.40 every day to travel on peak, so it would be useful if we were given a larger salary depending how much you have to commute.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • The reasonable start allowed for college work to be completed at the start of the day and the finish at 4:30 allows for work to be carried out after this program

  • 9. Would you recommend EY to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It has been a useful experience that has allowed me to find out what the business environment and allow me to gain an insight about the work load.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • Research the EY company and be sure to make notes on all of the tasks and briefs to make it easier when it comes to writing up feedback and the learning logs, also its good to use examples in interviews as a talking point
