  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My duties as a sales advisor include working on the till, putting out stock/delivery, tidying the shop and interacting with customers. I also arrange promotions and displays.

  • I have learnt a lot about the retail business including stock management and different products that are sold. I have also improved my confidence and customer service skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy working with my colleagues as part of a team and enjoy meeting new people including customers as well as the people I work with. The work is harder than I thought however, I have also learnt a lot more than I thought I would.

  • I feel that I am valued at savers as Ive had a certificate of recognition from my manager and have also get regular feedback from my manager and assessor.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • my programme is very organised as my work is very easy to understand. i have all the resources and information that i need in my folder. i know what i have to do each month and have the support that i need.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • i get a visit once every four weeks for at least an hour a time. She provides the feedback i need to complete my work and improve on what i already know. she is always willing to help with any questions I'm not sure on.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • my manager allows me to have my hour each week to complete my work in my folder and also helps on any questions I'm not sure on. she also shows me new jobs that i need to know how to do to progress further in my apprenticeship.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • i feel the wage for the apprenticeship is fair and covers everything i need to pay for such as, my travel to work, daily costs, living costs and social costs.

  • in my area there are a lot of colleges which i attended to before i started working. there are also leisure clubs and local events near my area outside of work.

  • I would recommend savers to a friend as they offer a lot of opportunities and different contracts. They always appreciate their staff and have a friendly atmosphere in the workplace.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savers?
  • i would advise going online to complete the application process.you should bring your updated CV to your interview and just be youself, share your experiences and be open to any opportunities.
