Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, at the moment we're training so we're learning the theory and also the practical sides of aircraft maintenance
I've learnt a lot of theory, extended my knowledge both practically and theoretically
I enjoy going to work, enjoy the people I work with and the program is better than what I expected
Haven't really had the opportunity to work with staff at TUI UK, because we're at a training organisation. But so far through emails, phone calls etc I feel like a valued team member
Induction was brilliant, had a welcome day where we were given a tour of where we would be working and a brief on the apprenticeship and any relevant details. Training is well structured but could be more organised. I feel overall the structure and organisation of the apprenticeship so far is good
The training provider offers support, and support is easily gained by simply talking to any staff member
As we're not directly in contact with our employer it is difficult to get immediate support. But when support is required TUI UK offers more than enough support
The money we get is enough to live on plus extra. TUI UK do pay for travel expenses and accommodation expenses whilst we're away from home.
As i've not actually started and i am just training I'm not away of anything just yet.
