Apprentice Administrator Day to day I print documents, send emails, answer the phone, help on reception, help with refreshments during meetings etc
learnt how to work on a reception and what it involves learnt how to use excel better gained better confidence in answering the phone as well as emailing people Learnt about LEAN and what it consists of through a two day course My organisation skills have improved
I enjoy being able to learn new skills which will be very valuable to me in the future I have enjoyed gaining this experience in an environment which is relaxed and around people who are friendly I like that everyone is more than happy to help
I feel valued by everyone - My manager is more than helpful and everyone has made me feel very welcome
At first it seemed slightly confusing when it came to sitting down with my manager to sort what units I intend to cover However everyone has been helpful in providing information when asked about specific things, unfortunately I did feel like I was being told one thing by one person and then something else by another but I think that's mainly because some of the people I asked were confused about what I actually wanted to know? But apart from that the programmes been fine
I've received a lot of support from my line manager and some from my advisor - if I have had a question I could simply email my adviser and she would get back to me with helpful information
A fair amount, I have been provided with all the correct equipment and training so far
It meets it well
usually an email is sent round stating specific events that are going on - for example staff bingo
Yes
Because the company itself treats its staff well, the atmosphere at work is relaxed and the people are nice; the atmosphere of the office does it for me because its so relaxed and friendly. There's nothing worse than working in environment where you cant have a laugh or one where you do not get on with people. Also my line manager is lovely and is very patient
research the apprenticeship and what's involved thoroughly do not judge a book by its cover - if you decide you do not like it straight away just wait and give it a chance
