  • I work as an IT support technician in a high school. In my role I repair any damaged computers, monitors, projectors etc. Attend to any technical issues that staff might be having. I also create and manage users

  • I have definitely learnt new skills such as using Active Directory and learning how IT works within a school. I have also developed my skills with computer hardware.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the programme as I’m working in area that I have a high passion for and I really enjoy developing my skills and knowledge within IT.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It’s very clear when I’m meant to be doing my on the job and off the job training. My programme is very structured and mapped out, which helps a lot. Any questions I have get answered straight away which puts my mind at ease.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer. Any questions are answered quick and efficiently and I never have to worry about what’s going on during my programme. My line manger has been extremely helpful.

  • Again, I received a lot of support when working towards my qualifications. Everything is clear on what I need to be doing.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification really helps me perform better in my job role. My qualification has helped me improve existing skills and even helped me gain new skills that I can use in my workplace.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • In my workplace there are loads extra-curricular activities. One that I enjoy doing is playing football with some of the staff.
