  • I'm a secondary school laboratory technician, I prepare practicals that are carried out within classrooms and maintain a healthy and clean lab environment. I assist teachers in practicing practicals they may be unfamiliar with. I also help ensure science equipment is functional and to report any faults I may find.

  • I've learned communication as this was a very difficult area for me as someone who finds it hard to speak to others. Teamwork have been greatly improved with my coworkers. I've learned how to use a lot of equipment I never had the chance to use before such as working a oscilloscope, or erying

  • I enjoy it a lot, I am extremely happy with the programme and the placement I am in, I have improved many skills and everyone is extremely supportive.

  • The programme is very clear and structured with a clear plan and timing with what I must acomplish.

  • I receive a lot of support from my employer and they offer plenty of support to help me with my apprenticeship.

  • They offer a lot of support and help plan the best possible way to continue my apprenticeship and get work done with the timings I am given and my situation of travelling to and from work.

  • They broaden my knowledge such as in the laws that surround labs and are relevant to the lab, such as chemical storage, usage, and disposal.

  • I assist in science clubs and a primary school out reach where students from a primary school comes to the secondary school to perform safe science experiments.
