    • Supporting responsible authorities in the development of Local Nature Recovery Strategies. My role involves convening, facilitating, advising, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

    • Yes. In partnership working, leadership and facilitation

    • It is really valuable for identifying skills gaps and making time in my work week for personal development

    • Well structured. The only issue is that the programme timeline does not align with submission deadlines

    • An excellent amount of support from my line manager and apprenticeship mentor

    • I am more confident at work and in putting lessons learnt through the programme into practice

    • Limited work-specific opportunities, however we do have 3 paid volunteer days which have been good for networking and wellbeing

    • Good holiday allowance and flexible working opportunites

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Natural England?

    • Be prepared for the bureaucracy and delays working in a government organisation!
