  • • Ownership of regional recruitment projects from concept to delivery • Projects include changes to the Regional Recruitment processes, optimisation of recruitment-based systems including SF Recruiting • Act as an integral link between key Head Office departments and Regional Recruitment teams aligning on strategy and projects • Defining and tracking project scope, goals, schedule and executing clearly defined strategies in collaboration with project stakeholders • Resource, budget and cost benefits tracking • Ensuring all projects and recruitment processes involved are aligned to the business Next Level strategy • Ensuring that all projects and processes are legally compliant and adhere to Lidl ARIS principles • Business partnering with a cluster of regions, supporting, advising and coaching the Regional Recruitment Teams.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learnt new skills in other areas of HR that I would not have had any exposure to. The course has also helped we establish a wider network within my company to learn new skills and develop my knowledge in other areas of the business and HR which has been very beneficial.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme as it helps me to learn the theory side of the role and widen my knowledge on HR topics, I can then put these learnings into a practical situation in my role and support colleagues around me with constantly changing policies and procedures. This has been a great addition to my development in the role and on projects.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is really well structured and organised as you can make the curriculum work for you with timelines and deadlines that you need to hit. I really like that there is a degree of flexibility on the course depending on what you have going on at work - this can be really helpful to maintain a work life balance.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer, I am able to complete the off the job hours and also have time to complete my learnings and assignments. I rarely have to use my own time to do this, it is very much encouraged to complete an apprenticeship and develop yourself.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My tutor is brilliant! She helps me rearrange and reprioritise my assignments when it is needed, my tutor also has regular catch ups with me and is always available to answer emails or have a call with me if I am unsure or need to runt through anything on the assignments and digital learnings.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think my qualification through the training provider will help me to perform better in my role by developing a wider understand of other departments and improve my knowledge of different theory can help me apply this to my job and develop stakeholder relationships and bigger picture thinking when working on projects together.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of professional networking events within recruitment all year around which are great when meeting other people in the industry and keeping up to date with topics. There is also plenty of company social events and charity sports days where you can take part and be sponsored to raise money for charity.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Lidl is a great employer and really champions development from within. There are a lot of opportunities to grow your career at Lidl and take part on social activities with your team and wider department. Lidls new Head Office in Tolworth is a fun and collaborative space to work in with the ability to also work from home.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lidl?
  • Make sure you consider your motivations for the role and why you are interested in working for Lidl, we want to hear about how you think you will be able to support Lidl to evolve and develop to ensure the best customer experience for everyone whether that may be in one of our stores or suppliers.
