  • Overseeing the learning and development needs of 2000 colleagues. This includes the onboarding, basic training, talent management, mentoring and coaching. Data analysis is also included along with tasking projects to others in the team and region.

  • I have developed both my existing skills and new one through my training. Several of the topics I thought I knew well I have been surprised at how much more there was to learn

  • The learning aspects have been great. The trainers have been knowledgeable and engaging.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The administration of the course not so much and has been frustrating at times

  • Time away from the day to day has been good and I have regular meetings to discuss my progress.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • In all honesty I think the support could be better. I have had several "coaches" and they have not all been great

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am yet to complete, but I believe the knowledge I have gained and the experience have been great additions to my skill set and have already started to improve the way in which I work

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes loads! We have a football team, D&D nights, bowling nights etc etc

  • Yes

  • Progressive, empowering, people focused. A great play to work and learn.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lidl?
  • Be prepared to work hard but the rewards are fantastic
