  • My role involves writing analytical summaries and briefings for ministers or other teams. I also actively monitor market conditions, producing various products (such as dashboards or daily updates) or market movements and conditions. I lead on a policy area, which involves project management responsibilities, overseeing the work on a policy product.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • During the role I've learnt analytical skills in financial markets, Bloomberg skills, Excel skills, and Coding skills. I've also developed soft skills such as a communication and stakeholder management.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the programme. Both the work and the study are interesting, and challenging. I find that they tie in well and I have learnt loads.

  • It is fairly well structured but organisation and communication about our future within the programme could be useful. Also a better structure for promotion would work well.

  • My role ties in closely with the degree, so the training helps me to perform in the role.

  • Personally I've been involved with the cricket team, and there are also plenty of social and networking opportunities.
