1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

For my job role I am required to provide therapeutic parenting for our YP who live in the residential home. My day to day may look like playing / many different activities ,crafts, cooking, cleaning and settling the YP for the evening with their favourite story or audio book.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Throughout starting my job role I have learnt many new skills. I have improved my listening skills and ensure the voice of the child is heard.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme, it allows me to gain a deeper understanding of my job role to enable me to progress further.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised and the presentation is perfect.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive high amount of supper from my employer. It is clear they value their employees.

I receive high amounts of support from my trainer, they are very helpful and understanding.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

From the training provided I fell it allows my skills to progress as well as giving me a deeper understanding of my day to day practice.

There are many professional networking events, I myself do not get involved with these but may attend from time to time.

The residential side of Five Rivers is rewarding but challenging.
