  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I have to call customers everyday and check in with them to see if there is anything they need, I also answer incoming calls doing quotes and answering and queries customers may have. My other tasks are filing, banking, email enquiries and missed calls

  • i have developed time management skills, I have learnt to split up my day better and how long i should be spending on each task I do. Also i feel i have learnt better customer service skills as i have never had an office job before

  • I do enjoy my programme that i am doing because i have never had an office job however i do find it very repetitive day to day

  • very organised, every time i see my apprentice man he sets me new tasks and they always help me further in my day to day work life which i find very helpful

  • if there is something i struggle doing i do get a lot of support! and ways to get round this and how to overcome and problems i may be facing

  • my apprentice man is so good! if I am struggling with any of the work he sets me he just talks me through it and helps me answer the questions i cant do

  • I have learnt better sales techniques throughout the time i have been here at Howdens, i have never worked in an office environment before this job but my qualification has allowed me to adapt to it

  • at my work we go out after work or we plan days to go out and do activities, it is a very social company and everyone is so nice!
