  • Operating routes, picking up and dropping off customers to there desired location. Driving a bus in a safe and professional manner. Checking the bus with a first use check to make sure it is safe to be used on the road.

  • How to drive a bus. My customer relations skills have been developed further throughout this apprenticeship.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The apprenticeship was very enjoyable it gave me loads of information in being able to do the job at hand with confidence.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well structured from the beginning to end we knew where we was what was required and what we needed to deliver.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We was released on all the dates required to attend courses. Any questions our trainer was an ex employee so had so much information of the business and how it operated.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Lots always there to help and if I was struggling with anything Mark would help. I can not say enough good things about my trainner.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification has made me understand what is required of me help me deliver a better standard of service as I have lots more information to provide. Also has given me the confidence to do the job with pride and passion.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes I believe they have a football competition through the depots also with in gloucester we have a pool table and some colleagues set up a competition.

  • Yes

  • The training is very good. The job is rewarding.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Stagecoach UK?
  • Don't worry about learning all the routes they come to you. If you enjoy meeting new people then you most definitely do that. The job is as easy or hard as you make it.
