I am currently on placement in Media Planning. My main jobs are scheduling pre-rolls (trailers that you see at the start of shows on BBC iPlayer) and making footers (basically ads on the BBC website that send you to different areas such as BBC Sounds). I am also involved in the marketing plan for an upcoming BBC Three show and BBC Three + BBC Radio paid social media marketing.
I have improved in areas such as copywriting and strategic planning of media assets and I have gained skills in Excel, and other programs such as ATI Analytics, iSite, iBroadcast, Castaway
Yes
I think the BBC is an acommodating employer that would be a good fit for many people
Be prepared to vocalise your ideas and collaborate with others at the assessment day, use your given task to show your passion for the area you would like to work in
