On a daily basis I attend team meetings and project meetings, taking minutes where required and liaising with the team managers, completing tasks for them which assist in their administration. This ranges from booking meetings to organising overtime.
I have improved my email communication as I was regarded as having been too brash when I arrived. I have enjoyed learning and adjusting to an office lifestyle.
I enjoy the program to a reasonable degree, though I am not too sure on how missions are run - it seems less about the quality of work you produce, more about how good you are at writing about it.
It seems fairly well structured, though a lot of this is developing naturally as this is the first apprenticeship of this scale that the FOS has run.
I receive as much support as I could ask for. I know that is I have a problem, all I have to do is turn around and ask.
I received great support initially, but since beginning my apprenticeship my coach has changed. Since my coach changed 3 months ago I have not had a single review or phone call, and have never spoken to them in person. This is due entirely to cancellations on their end.
It gives me greater awareness of processes and procedures both internal and external to the organisation.
Yes, there are many networks and clubs, and the people at work are very friendly - you will not be short of people to chat with.
Yes
It is a great first step into the office environment, and a relaxing place to work and learn how to do a specific job.
Be yourself, show respect for others and work hard. It will get you far and pay off no end.
