Chef / FOH Team Member Review

In my role at greene king I work both back of house in the kitchen prepping meals for customers on a daily basis , I also work Front of house , dealing which quest queries and handing these as appropriate, I enjoy both roles and feel being cross trained helps boost my career

I have learnt many skills since I started the programme and I can use these to develop my career Further throughout the Greene King Ladder and pass on any knowledge I have learnt to other team members which will also benefit them , I have definitely developed old skills as well as learning things I never knew was possible

I extremely enjoyed the programme as it was just the sort of thing I was looking for after leaving secondary education as a teen I feel both Greene king and Lifetime Training have helped me boost myself to be the best I can whilst learning new and expanding on existing knowledge which is definitely something I would recommend to anyone looking at going into a career in hospitality

The programme is really well structured both written workbooks and online based websites are used to pass on loads of information that will help you pass through the course and your able to join groups and learn from others who were in the same situation when they started there course within there company

The support from Greene king is really good and I feel that employing the training provider (Lifetime ) really helps boost Apprenticeships for all ages , Personally for me I don’t think I’d be where I am now If it wasn’t for greene king and lifetime training helping me along the way

The support from the training provider is 10/10 with monthly visits from a regional trainer within your area who will sit and run through and questions you have alongside the online bases assessments you have to complete in the course and if there’s is anything you don’t understand there are always happy to sit and explain it to you

When I left education my grades wasn’t as good as I had expected by the training provider helped find the best course and helped me every step of the way throughout gaining my qualification i also did maths and English again which is something I could do online and not have to go to a college for which is great , I feel that having the qualification helps me throughout my role within Greene King which what I’ve been taught

I feel there could be extra things that could be done , but I feel that this does not really apply to me as such with working for the company full time , but for others extra activities would be great to help learners in different aspects of work where appropriate and this is something Lifetime Training , and / or Greene King would provide

I would recommend greene king to anybody as there have really helped me in the last 2 years through my apprenticeship and I feel that a lot of people can gain lots of experience within the company and would recommend anyone to do an apprenticeship to gain any extra qualifications to boost your CV

Don’t hesitate, I would definitely apply to work with greene king they have plenty of work perks and have loads of different job roles within the company whereby this be in head office , pubs , brewery , call centre , there are loads of opportunities out there waiting and Lifetime training and Greene king and an amazing help for people of all ages.
