  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to support current staff whether that be through running my own projects which I have control over, or supporting staff in their projects, enabling you to ascertain more of the area you work in and give you a better overall experience of each of the twelve placements that you do in this apprenticeship.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt an insane amount of skills and developed heavily through this course, whether that be from going on suicide awareness courses, writing skills courses or going out to sites and telling teams and their managers what they should be looking out for and how best to get the job done which is a big responsibility early in your career.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really do enjoy my programme as you have an insane amount of people around you supporting what you need help with and anything that you might be struggling with so I haven't just enjoyed the work aspect but the amount of friends I have gained while on it.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My program is very well organized and they have a structure to where they send you based on previous feedback and If people have enjoyed that placement in the past. This ensures that you don't get put in a team you do not want to be in, which is good.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Transport for London offer a lot of support for myself and the other apprentices and this is from our buddy which is an apprentice in the year above and given a sponsor which me meet fairly regularly to see how we are doing and if we are really on track.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • you receive quite a lot of training from transport for London in different sectors of the business and when you move to London underground you have to do 2 months worth of training to ensure that you are able to become a supervisor which is quite an incredible interesting achievement.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe that the qualification and the job itself work really well together and work in unison to ensure that we can advance as we dig deeper into our career and as we stay here longer we get given harder and harder placements in line with our harder and harder training.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • there is a lot of teams and events that you can get involved in if you are interested in doing so and this ensures that you have a lot to do at work as you can really get behind the stuff that the company does to great effect helping the community

  • 9a. Would you recommend Transport for London to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Transport for London to a friend as it is a company that really supports its members and apprentices and they really make you feel welcome when you are new and you join and do not treat you any differently from the rest of the day to day staff.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Transport for London?
  • The advice that I would give is to make sure that you do something outside of school or college so that you can stand out from the crowd and ensure that you have a higher chance than they do. This is what helped me get this job and is why I recommend it.
