  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My team were very welcoming when I first joined, they have been supportive of the apprenticeship and communicated well with the apprentice team. The company as a whole is a great place to work, the staff are friendly, the facilities are brilliant etc. It has exceeded my expectations, this is because I did not know how many opportunities were accessible in one place. I have enjoyed my apprenticeship at JP Morgan, it has been exciting, valuable and opened a door to my career.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme was organised reasonably well. We had to sit 3 exams whilst completing coursework. The training provider gave support via online platforms and learning materials. The schools team provided help and support when needed. I have had a mentor that provides me with a point of contact for any issues, concerns or advise I may need on the programme. I do however feel that the contents of the course could have been explained in more detail at the start of the programme. I found myself being left to guess what order certain tasks were supposed to be completed in and also the structure of the WBL (coursework) needed to be delivered and managed better by both the schools team and the training provider BPP.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • The trainer provider did me support in the form of online revision sites, VLE, textbooks etc. Regular telephone reviews are setup to check progress and answer and concerns I may have. The training provider did however lack sincerity in attempting to assist the apprentices, aspects of the course were not explained in enough detail and appeared vague. Communication issues have been a problem with the training provider and this has sometimes hindered progress.

I have had a mentor that provides me with a point of contact for any issues, concerns or advise I may need on the programme.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The apprenticeship is a great way to start your career in the financial world. It offers valuable on the job experience whilst also being able to study towards an industry recognised qualification. It is a fantastic alternative to university and will help you get into the working world early. The social life with other apprentices is great and I have enjoyed the experience.
