The staff who oversee the summer school programme really get to know you, even over the short duration of just a single week. Furthermore, everyone is treated in a professional and adult manner which gives you a further taste of the working world at J.P. Morgan. At the beginning of the week, you will be presented with a timetable for your week which outlines each hour slot. 10/10

Despite only being a short programme, help is still provided. Each day, the lead supervisor asks about the progress by your team the previous day and what your aims or targets are for that day. Moreover, throughout the day, the supervisors come round to check how you are finding the task and whether you need any further assistance or have any questions.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

6/10

For the summer school programme, the only cost covered by J.P. Morgan is the lunch, which is always generous. Therefore, you must cover any accommodation and travel expenses to the location (Bournemouth University). However, I felt like the course was well worth the costs and would not expect the firm to cover my costs.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

10/10

The summer school programme only lasts for a week so you would not expect great amounts of opportunities. However, the group planned nights out on a couple of evenings which seemed like a good chance to get to know new people- these are outside of the working hours and will tend to be in central Bournemouth.
