  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very well structured. I get 7 hours study time a week, which is very helpful as I can spend this time working on my modules as we do not do exams in Scotland. I like how the modules are structured and the time that we have between each one. I also like the face that I get feedback from my assessor on my module once I have completed it.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I get a lot of support and guidance. They have an online learning tool which has all the course notes and the task books on it. There are also recordings of someone going through the course notes and explaining them in more detail. I also know that I can contact my assessor at any time and ask any questions.

  • I receive a lot of support from my employer. My line manager ensures that I get my 7 hours of study time a week. My colleagues also help me by showing me where our kpmg information is kept for any of the tasks that I have to complete. I know that if there are any problems I can speak to my line manager.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • It meets it. I am still living at home at the moment but my salary defiantly meets my travel costs each month. I don't have to spend any money on my lunch which is good as kpmg gives us a lunch allowance for each day, however sometimes I do go over this balance. The location of my office is really good as I don't have to travel for ages to get into work each day.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • I have been to a company tax event recently, which was really interesting. The location of the Aberdeen office is in the town which is very handy for going into town to complete any errands. Before I got this job I had just left school. I did have a place at collage so I would of taken that if I hadn't of gotten the job.

  • Take your time while doing the application. It might seem difficult but it will be worth it in the end. There are so many different opportunity's waiting to be looked into, so if you don't really like one particular side of the job there's always an opportunity to go into more depth on the side that you do like.
