  • AAT Level 3 & 4 and a professional level qualification. I have improved my confidence, presentation and writing skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Varied work and lots of people available to help. The team are really nice and I have made a lot of friends here!

  • 4. How valued do you feel by KPMG?
  • Both salary and recognition from you department is low in comparison to graduates who are doing the exact same job role as you.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I am in the first year of the programme and therefore nothing is planned that far in advance. We are still in the lurch about the qualification we are doing which we are due to start later this year!

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Support is offered but it is not necessarily helpful (BPP). The BPP achievement ladders and progress reviews and more hassle than they are worth.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Reasonable amount of support but occasionally you will have a lot of work from your department when you are trying to study for exams.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • In Bristol, you would not be able to live alone. House shares or living with parents are the only choice and even then you will not have too much spare cash.

  • Loads of social events in addition to volunteering days, societies etc

  • Yes

  • Despite the low recognition, it is still a good company to work for and is invaluable on your CV.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • Read online about the type of questions they ask in the interview as they can be fairly predictable and if you get invited to a get ahead or networking session beforehand then take the opportunity!
