1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

9/10

I sat with the desk in GCB which deals with UK companies. I sat in on meetings, listened to conference calls and compiled research. I also read about their products

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

9/10

It definitely improved my research abilities and also was a great opportunity to develop and improve my networking skills by interacting with others doing the scheme and employees.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

8/10

It was amazing to see what it is like to work within a team in the bank. JP Morgan is a huge international company and seeing how it works from the inside was great

4. How valued do you feel by J.P. Morgan?

10/10

Everyone had a lot of time for me and I felt very welcome and valued. Two of the staff took me out for lunch on different days to give me a chance to find out more

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

8/10

There was little structure but this worked well because you got a sense of what people there do day to day. However there were times when I had little to do.

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

9/10

He was very helpful and always found me work to do, most of it was helpful to him and the team. When there was nothing like that possible he gave me interesting reading.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

9/10

He was very helpful and always found me work to do, most of it was helpful to him and the team. When there was nothing like that possible he gave me interesting reading.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

10/10

very well, It covered all cost including tube and meals with enough to save some as well. Having accommodation and travel to London provided was helpful as well.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

8/10

I was only there for a week so not many but this wasn't a problem. In the evenings with the free time and pay though so we organised our own entertainment

9. Would you recommend J.P. Morgan to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

Invaluable insight into banking world. JP Morgan is a top company and they clearly went to a lot of effort to provide a worthwhile experience for all of us in this programme.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to J.P. Morgan?

Ask lots of questions and make the most of the opportunity. There may be a lot you don't understand but try to just absorb the environment and decide if you could see yourself working there.
