School & College Leaver Programme

This is your opportunity to challenge thinking, change the world around us and help create some amazing buildings and infrastructure.   We offer careers in engineering, construction and commercial management, where you can work on amazing projects and study for further qualifications. 

Over the course of five years, you will complete an accredited degree.  You will be mentored by experienced colleagues, who will support your personal and professional growth and help you to develop your technical and business skills.

Our School and College Leaver programme is designed to nurture and develop, opening up various different opportunities across the UK.  At its centre is a structured training programme with a series of different modules that help you to gain key skills.

The programme is designed to bring out the best in you and push you to your full potential as future leaders of our business.  Through a combination of practical experience, technical learning and professional development, you’ll get the right blend of personal and professional skills. You will enjoy strong support from line managers and a large peer group network. We will work closely with you to develop clear career goals, expand your skills and assist you in working towards the relevant chartership.

Years 1 & 2 development focus

  • Learning how to do your job, understanding how your project works and becoming familiar with the people who work alongside you
  • Progressing with your professional qualification and university qualification

Years 3 – 5 development focus

  • Socialising you into the wider LOR business
  • Progressing with your professional qualification and university qualification
  • Providing opportunities for you to add value for yourself and for LOR
  • At this stage our programme aligns with Graduate Development Programme
