  • Network with senior individuals and collaborate with new team members on a selected project. For instance, I work with financial data spreadsheets but other apprentices work in HR or marketing

  • Excel, presentation, PowerPoint, sociability, networking, data consolidation.

  • I love the programme and had made lots of valuable friendships and working relationships

  • It is very well structured- a 3 year course split up into 3 rotations (1 per year)

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Bt is very supportive. From the early careers te check ins and the daily calls with my line manager I feel very heard and supported.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • ARU keeps us regularly updated and we are in person once a month. Given majority is online the lecturers are very responsive to emails and any questions.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The content I learn can be applied to my role and different roles in the workplace and my assignments often link to BT.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is a monthly social activity for my floor of work. And there is volunteering days and networking events that are optional to attend.

  • Yes

  • Very supportive and nurturing company. You will learn from a different age and grade range of people will expands your network and abilities.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • - be yourself in the interview- they look for personality! - get work experience before to help your application shine! - it’s ok to panic and stumble just remain confident in yourself.
