  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Doing the weekly routines in the station. working at sse everyday is never the same. one day i will be working on an outage and the next i could be out in the van travelling and seeing new places and sites.

  • I have learned lots of new skills such as how a hydro system works and how electricity can be generated from natural sources.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme because i was able to learn whist on the job but I enjoyed being able to make new friends for life.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well structured and I feel as though once out of college there are few problems. There has been some major issues with college assessors however this is not through the fault of SSE.

  • I receive support from my colleagues on site everyday and help from management when it is needed.

  • I had enough support

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think the qualifications gave me a good base understanding of engineering however I dont think I use most of the skills studied on a day to day basis.

  • there are no extra-curricular activates.

  • Yes

  • It is a kind and safe place to work. I find it a good place to work and enjoy the company of others around me.

  • Be yourself and make sure you do enough research on the company itself.
