My role as a trainee Quantity Surveyor at Balfour Beatty is to essentially support the commercial teams. I am involved in payments to subcontractors, valuations, and preparing quotations for compensation events
I am feel like I have learnt more in the first 3 months at Balfour Beatty than I have in my first 2 years on my undergraduate course in university
I have enjoyed my programme greatly, and I feel I like I have been getting the support I needed from my employer. The placement programme is great and is always getting improved constantly
The programme is very well structured and has Early Careers recruitment team and development team supporting it
