  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am procurement specialist in Raw materials which is a operational role where I have a responsibility to look after 5 plants and if there any issues relating to deliveries than I am the first point of escalation to handle and resolve the urgent issues. On a daily basis I deal with plant stakeholders, buyers in procurement and suppliers.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have developed new skills especially in Procurement whereby I have developed in technical skills. I have also developed more on my soft skills and have developed and grown as a person.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy working in Procurement and at Mondelez as there are many extra curricular activities to take part in. I am part of the early careers network core planning team where I help plan events for all the apprentices, grads and interns.

  • The programme is very well structured. I know what stage I am at and what modules I am doing.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer. I have regular catch ups with the early careers lead in Procurement to check in how I am getting on with my placement and how I am finding uni. I also have weekly meetings with my manager where we check in how I am getting on in the role. I have regular catch ups with my mentor to advise me.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive support often, I can book in office hours with my module tutors if I need support. I have regular webinar sessions where I can ask for support. I have regular catch up with my skills coach where we discuss progress and how I am getting on and if I have any concerns with completing my knowledge, skills and behaviors for university.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there is loads of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at Mondelez, there is volunteering, being part of inclusion groups at work and also extra curricular activities in the individual functions.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • There is so much support available and everyone you meet is always willing to help. As Mondelez International is a multi-national company there is a opportunity to move functions and explore different areas. There are many extra-curricular activities for employees to get involved in.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mondelez?
  • Make sure you research about Mondelez, what brands they own, what their values are. Be your authentic self. Understand whether the company is right for you.
