  • Split 50/50 working roadside, fixing vehicles, managing patrols, HR requests, payroll queries, contravention queries, claims, complaints, van management, liasing between patrols and management, dealing with external customers, H&S accident investigations and near miss investigations, engagement, multi departmental meetings

  • Only new into this apprenticeship but have developed some techniques for focusing on and delegating tasks.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Less than one month into this program but it is enjoyable so far.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Course seems to be well organised but the communication seems to let it down.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The business have committed to allowing us the time to do this program. My line manager is happy to allow me to put the time where I see fit to allow me to complete.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Support has been good so far but only one month in.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It has allowed me to realise that different people learn and communicate in very different ways.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I think that there is things like this but being a remote worker this is difficult.

  • Yes

  • I think they are a great and supportive company to work for.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to The AA?
  • Make sure you know the history and heritage of the business, we are very proud of it.
