Spent a day in 5 different departments; Finance, Marketing, HR, Retail, & Recruitment. Spoke to people all over the team and got fully immersed in the team completing tasks with genuine use on some days rather than just simple admin tasks that i was worried I'd get.
Team work, communication between all the different departments and how important it is, creativity, well-roundedness, dealing with unexpected situations, meeting conduct and business etiquette
Very much so, and it's been very helpful ever since in applying to uni and jobs
Fairly well, maybe more communication and planning needed with departments to ensure there were constant things prepared? Also if you go for this placement make sure you let them know your department preferences as I didn't and wasn't always where I had hoped.
Lots, very positive culture, workers all very friendly and from all ends of life
Definitely, beforehand I wasn't so sure about my university course based on my A Levels, but after PoundLand I am dead set on Marketing and Management
No as it was a school work experience week
Yes, saw employees from all over even in departments I wasn't working in over the course
Yes
Very fun and interesting, very useful as well, especially if you're unsure about business and corporate ventures
Communicate with placement leads early on and ensure they know what you want out of it so you can get the most useful and personalised experience possible, they're very flexible and will adapt to your timetable and interests
