Involves solving first line issues on the ground floor of Excelsior Academy and other sites under laid law schools trust fixing IT issues that might arise in the form of tickets.
Increased confidence and IT knowledge ranging from patching PC's in to fixing general issues across sites on a windows platform, learning active directory and many industry standard processes and tools which there's so many to go over I don't think I can condense it.
I enjoyed the programme a lot having lots of support and boosting my general confidence towards problem solving and generally making me feel like I can make an impact on society and contributing.
With a mix of things not working on the apprenticeship side from Baltic Apprenticeships like training courses having issues with virtual machines etc. Everything on the work side of things was completely in order however the training provider from Baltic seemed to improve over time.
I was provided with a large range and support and understanding taking into account that I have autism spectrum disorder, it provided me with a safe place and support where I was able to access counselling during work hours and allowed to step away and clear my head whenever I needed it.
I was provided with a large degree of support and understanding from Baltic Apprenticeships ranging from extra training sessions, phone calls and lots of support sessions to help with workplace projects towards my EPA.
there was many things covered in the apprenticeship programme that my coworkers disagreed with that would never show up in my role or I would have to do in a lower level position. It didn't seem to be suited to fit a large variety of roles, especially as getting access to certain systems I would not be allowed to get my hands on and use as a apprentice in the workplace as it's far too dangerous encase I mess up. Meaning getting some examples for workplace projects is hard and rather difficult.
No, but had a biking programme and free access to the gym if I required it.
Yes
Overall just a very solid experience.
Be willing to learn and adapt and overcome every single day.
